The ARK is providing a free educational series called “Powerful Tools for Caregivers.”
It consists of six sessions held once a week. Two experienced and certified class leaders conduct the series.
Participants will receive a book, The Caregiver Helpbook. A donation of $30 to cover the cost of the book is appreciated but not required. Classes will be offered free as part of a grant from the Lt. Governor’s Office on Aging/Alzheimer’s Resource Coordination Center and the Elder Care Trust Fund.
Two separate classes will be held at the Dorchester County Library at 506 North Parler Avenue in St. George starting Sept. 11 through Oct. 16. The first class will be held 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the second class will be held 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The class will also be held at The ARK at 206 Central Avenue in Summerville, starting Sept. 9 through Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
