On Saturday, Sept. 6, the staff at the Audubon Center at Francis Beidler Forest will host a Teacher Appreciation Day at the center in Harleyville.
Teachers will be granted free admission to the swamp, provided they show an I.D. card or a recent pay stub from their school.
Attendees will also receive a family pass (good for one free admission for two adults and two children) that can be used at any time in the next year at Beidler Forest.
In addition, two guided boardwalk tours for teachers will be offered during the day. The first tour will start at 10:00 a.m. and last until noon.
The second tour will begin at 2:00 p.m. and last until 4:00 p.m. No advanced registration for either tour is required.
Brochures and other information that highlight the educational opportunities at Francis Beidler Forest will also be available.
For questions regarding this event, please call the visitorís center (843-462-2150) or e-mail Matt Johnson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
