Emily Warren Burns and Walter Hugh Morgan, Jr. were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on April 23, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
The Reverends Thomas Herrington and Michael Shelton officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father, Mr. Claude Garrett Burns.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Garrett Burns of Summerville, SC. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Ernest McDowell of Sumter, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchanan Burns of Sumter, SC.
Emily is a 2013 graduate of Clemson University and is employed by RMF Engineering on Daniel Island, SC.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Walter Hugh Morgan, senior, of Edgefield, SC. He is the grandson of Mrs. Charles Henry Butler and the late Mr. Butler of Darlington, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Calhoun Morgan of Edgefield, SC.
Walt is a 2012 graduate of Clemson University and is employed by Nachurs.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Mrs. Margaret Burns Browder. Maid of honor was Miss Katherine Susanna Hunter.
Bridesmaids included Miss Jessica Lorraine Crenshaw, Miss Jessica Caroline Jones, Miss Katherine Elizabeth Morgan, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Anna Burns Richardson.
The groom’s father, Dr. Walter Hugh Morgan, senior served as best man.
Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Corbett Browder, Mr. Charles Grandison Howard, III, Mr. Christopher Wayne Mishoe, Mr. William Blake Odom and Mr. Ryan James Williams.
A reception was held in the Colonial Ballroom at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, SC immediately following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner cruise was hosted by the groom’s parents aboard the Carolina Girl on April 22, 2016.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and now resides in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
