East Shore Athletic Club announces that it is opening its thirteenth location in Summerville in 2012. Located on Orangeburg Road next to Knightsville Elementary, the new club will hold the East Shore Athletic club name and will offer a state of the art facility. ESAC members will experience the very best in innovative training methods including private and group functional training. The new Summerville location will also provide a variety of cardio and strength group fitness classes. Top of the line cardio equipment complete with flat screen TVs, a free weight area, childcare, and 24 hour access are some of the features of the new club.
Kate Wartner, Director of Corporate Wellness said, “We are excited to open in Summerville and offer its residents and businesses an opportunity to take advantage of our wellness initiatives.”
Kent Jordan purchased East Shore Athletic Club in August of 2002. He insisted that the club continue to meet and exceed the high standards that make up East Shore. The company has since expanded and has multiple locations over the tri-county region. ESAC has also grown its Corporate Wellness Program and partners with over 100 companies in the Lowcountry. Summerville churches, schools, businesses, and organizations can now take advantage of this one size fits all solution to provide a wellness plan for their employees at a cost effective rate. President of Heritage Trust National Bank, Jim McKenrick stated, “Increasing the physical activity of our employees is one of our main goals under our WellnessWorks initiative and thanks to the ESAC Corporate Gym Membership we are able to consistently meet this important objective. “
