The 2011 Entrepreneur Development Workshop will be held at the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce for three days beginning on Friday November 4th at 9am.

Registration is underway now through Friday November 4, 2011 at the Summerville Chamber (873-2931) or on the SCORE website at www.coastal.score.org.  The three session dates are November 4th, November 11th and December 9th - all at 9am thru 3:30pm.

The three day workshop is a collective effort of the Chamber and the Coastal Chapter of SCORE.  The location for the workshops is the Chamber at 402 North Main Street in Summerville.

The three workshops are designed to provide information and contacts needed to successfully plan and start a business, They include subjects such as legal aspects of business, financial considerations, marketing, and business plan development.

Chamber/SCORE volunteer Reeve Conover added, "We are able to partner and offer this three day seminar at a very popular price for an 18 hour, three day event - $100 per person or $75 for SCORE clients or Chamber members.”

"Persons wishing to take part can register by calling the Chamber at 873-2931 or by going to the SCORE website at www.coastal.score.org," added Henry Lewis, Chamber/SCORE Volunteer.

The 3 day format will also include sessions on time management, sales best practices, current web technology, and website development, added Chamber/SCORE volunteer Jim Friar.   We have packaged a great deal of information into 18 hours, he said.

Coastal SCORE Workshop Coordinator Hank Cardarelli observed the advantages of this workshop, "Persons attending will get a great amount of information from presenters about the overall aspects of new business formation.  The Chamber's SCORE counselors will also explain how SCORE works with its clients to help access local information they need and how to prepare documents to assist them in obtaining additional financing they may need as their businesses grow," he added.

"The workshops will use a variety of presentation and training formats to help participants learn a great deal," added Chamber/SCORE Counselor Jan Campbell.  "They will also enjoy a setting that is ideal for discussion and working in small groups."
