Grab joins MWV Community Development Team

John Grab has joined MWV Community Development and Land Management as Vice President, Community Development with primary responsibility for implementing the Parks of Berkeley/Sheep Island Master Plan.

John has nearly thirty years of experience in planning, developing, and operating resort and master planned, mixed use communities across the Southeast. John served as the Chief Resort Communities Officer for Burroughs & Chapin. In his role, he was responsible for the planning, operation, and development activities of the Resort Communities Division which included the Pine Lakes Development, the Myrtlewood Development, the Glen Dornach Community, and the 2,000 acre Grande Dunes Resort. He also served as Division President for Cambridge Homes of North Carolina, responsible for all aspects of the homebuilding operation; and President of Arvida’s (acquired by St. Joe) Mid-Atlantic Region, responsible for all aspects of community development for four southeastern offices. John most recently owned JRG Real Estate Consulting which provided development consulting services to clients such as Burroughs & Chapin (Myrtle Beach, SC), Vineyard Estates (Charlottesville, VA), and Colony Development Partners (Charlotte, NC).

Located near the I-26 - 17A interchange in Summerville, Parks of Berkeley and the adjoining Sheep Island property, both owned and master planned by MWV, will be a sustainable, environmentally-friendly community offering a variety of residential housing options, Class A office space, retail stores, hotels, and restaurants.
