Safelite AutoGlass recently selected Summerville resident Barry Johnson for the company's annual Wall of Fame award. Johnson, a repair specialist, is among 51 selected to receive the honor this year.

The Wall of Fame award is the most prestigious award that can be earned at Safelite AutoGlass, and its parent company Safelite Group. It recognizes less than one percent of the company's more than 9,000 employees nationwide. Employees selected for the honor are nominated by their supervisor and are selected by a nomination review committee based on their contribution to company goals, individual accomplishments and commitments to Safelite Group core competencies.

“Having great people is the ultimate competitive advantage,” said Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite Group. “One way we acknowledge members of our team is with a recognition program that rewards extraordinary results and reinforces the successful behaviors that led to those results. The program considers nominees based upon their demonstration of upholding the company’s core values, delivering the optimal customer experience, thinking differently for better business results, having energy for finding new ways to achieve goals and focus to succeed against high standards.”

The Wall of Fame has been a part of Safelite's recognition program for more than 15 years and has honored nearly 1,000 employees with a specialized plaque, a monetary award and a framed portrait of the employee that is featured on the Wall of Fame recognition wall, which is housed in the company’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

“Our Wall of Fame is the most prestigious award for our associates. It is the pinnacle of our recognition program. It is our opportunity to highlight the best among us in a particular year. These talented people show a commitment to service, teamwork and excellence. Their efforts have contributed greatly to the success of our company over the last year and they deserve to be acknowledged,” said Feeney.
