Trident Technical College’s Medical Transcriptionist Program, offered by the Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development, is approved by the Approval Committee for Certificate Programs (ACCP), a joint committee established by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) to approve medical transcription certificate programs.

The approval designation assures health care providers that graduates of Trident Technical College’s comprehensive medical transcription program possess the necessary job skills to attain success in entry-level medical transcription positions.

All courses in TTC’s Medical Transcriptionist Program are completed online. Training covers the basic medical knowledge needed to succeed in the field of transcription using Internet-based transcription equipment while being supervised by an expert in the field.

For more information on medical transcription and other health care-related programs, call Cathy Lowe, RN at 843-574-6366 or visit www.tridenttech.edu/ce.htm.
