Jan Waring Woods has departed from one of the largest CPA firms based in the Southern U.S. to open her own public accounting firm in Summerville, South Carolina.

Waring Woods is a former partner/LLC member of Gamble Givens & Moody, LLC who merged with Dixon Hughes in 2006.

A Summerville native, Waring Woods is a graduate of Summerville High School and a Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Carolina. She has 27 years of experience in public accounting representing individuals and organizations in all aspects of accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services.

“I am excited about starting my own firm and I look forward to continuing to serve clients in this community with an emphasis on personalized attention,” said Waring Woods.

"This decision comes as a result of my desire to serve my clients in a much smaller corporate environment and to continue to apply my knowledge of the accounting profession in the community where I have worked and lived for all of my life."

Waring Woods is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber or Commerce. Waring Woods was also named one of the Summerville Journal Scene’s Women to Watch recipients in 2010. She is married to Jim Woods and is the proud mother of three.

Jan Waring Woods, CPA, LLC is located at 105 South Cedar St., Suite A in Summerville, S.C. Jan can be reached at 843-261-0096 or at jwaringwoods@jwwcpa.com.
