Mr. and Mrs. H. Patrick Cotton, of Summerville, S.C., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter Rebecca Jean Cotton, of Summerville, to Nathan Howard Yoder of Lincolnton, N.C., son of The Rev. and Mrs. Larry Yoder, of Lincolnton.
The wedding date is June 5, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charleston, S.C.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Summerville High School and a graduate of Queens University of Charlotte, where she studied French and International Studies. She is currently attending Campbell Law School in Raleigh, N.C.
The groom-elect graduate from Lenior-Rhyne University in 1998, earned a Masters of Divinity from Wake Forest in 2002 and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from the University of Regensburg in Germany. He will be serving as the pastor of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Maiden, N.C.
The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Brent Kuhnle of Summerville and the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Virginia Cotton and the late Mr. Harold Cotton of Miami.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Howard and the late Mr. Woodrow Wilson Howard of West Columbia, S.C. and the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ralph Yoder of Linclonton.
