Jones, Thompson plan December wedding

Claire Crawford Jones and Brent Palmer Thompson

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Frederick Jones announce the engagement of their daughter, Claire Crawford Jones to Brent Palmer Thompson, son of Deborah Sowell Thompson and Homer Mallard Thompson Jr. of Summerville, South Carolina.

Miss Jones is the granddaughter of Mrs. Richard Burden Domingos Sr. and the late Mr. Richard Burden Domingos Sr. of Macon, Georgia; and William Crawford Jones and the late Margaret “Peggy” Gries Jones of Macon.

Miss Jones is a 2007 graduate of Stratford Academy in Macon. She graduated from the College of Charleston where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Languages, Cultures, and World Affairs and where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She is employed with Enterprise in their Management Training Program in Charleston, South Carolina.

Mr. Thompson is the grandson of Mrs. Homer Mallard Thompson Sr. and the late Mr. Homer Mallard Thompson Sr. of Branchville, South Carolina; and Mrs. Morgan Baxter Sowell Sr. and the late Mr. Morgan Baxter Sowell Sr. of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Mr. Thompson is a 2002 graduate of Pinewood Preparatory School in Summerville.

He is a 2006 graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He is employed with Flint Equipment Company in Ladson, South Carolina.

The wedding will be held on Dec. 10 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charleston, South Carolina. The reception will follow the ceremony at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms.
