Perry, Ewers tie the knot

Katherine Louise Perry, of Easton, Md. was married to James W. “Tripp” Ewers III, of Summerville, S.C. on May 15, 2010 at The River Lodge at Brittland Estates in Chestertown, Md. The marriage was officiated by the Dr. Rev. Richard Vance. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce H. Perry, of Easton.

The bride is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Beaulah B. Trice, of Preston, Md., and the late Thomas L. Trice III. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth R. Perry of Royal Oak, Md. and the late William A. Perry and Elizabeth H. Perry.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Rebecca Woods of Edisto Island, S.C. and Mr. James W. Ewers, Jr. of Summerville.

The groom is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Margaret Hutto, of Orangeburg, S.C., and the late B.B. Canaday. He is the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ewers Sr.

The bride wore a gown of white allover draped silk taffeta strapless, trumpet dress with button back and sweep train.

The matrons of honor were Caroline Spurry, sister of the bride of Arlington, Va. and Colin Perry Willis, sister of the bride, of Easton.

The ring bearers were Cole Paradine, son of the groom, and Graham Willis, nephew of the bride.

The best man was James W. Ewers Jr., father of the groom. The groomsmen were Walsh Dingle, of Daniel Island, S.C., Thomas Finucan, of Charleston, S.C. and Robertson Griffith, of Asheville, N.C.

The newlyweds honeymooned at Sandals Resort, Negril, Jamaica and will reside in Stevensville, Md.
