Healthcare Hoax

Equal healthcare for all is a double truckload of boloney.  The description of “all” may be comparable to the former description of “is”.  Run the word “all” through your electronic Thesaurus and you will find such terms as: every one, entire, altogether.  How can all mean except unions or groups that someone unilaterally decides are exempt from the regulations via various waivers?  Is there a list of these waivers somewhere for which we can all check to see if we meet the guidelines?  If this is the best plan in the world, why aren’t the President, his family, his staff and czars, all federal workers and ALL of the members of congress and their families the first to prove it by giving up their premium plans to be replaced by the plan they think is so great for the rest of us?

Why is separation of church and state only acceptable when it’s convenient for the administration?  Just let the President want to make a statement about fairness or equal justice and he’s glad to drag Jesus to the podium while it’s reported that Mr. Obama’s released tax returns indicate that he gave only 1% of his income to charity.  However, it’s O.K. to ask the Catholics to compromise their centuries-old belief system.

Contraception coverage only adds to the confusion.  Now don’t get me wrong – I’m a total supporter of contraception lest my family would have been much larger than it is.  But it’s not like contraception isn’t available to everyone that wants it, who are willing to seek it out and pay for it.  What makes FREE contraception more important than someone’s life-saving cancer drug, blood pressure pills, diabetes control medication or treatment to rein in cholesterol over-load that probably costs thousands of dollars per year?  Why didn’t the President mandate that the manufacturer disperse contraception for free, or at the least at cost?  Should this proposed benefit continue onward to success, I’ll watch for the first lawsuit from a woman that gets pregnant anyway – contraception is not 100% guaranteed.  Taxpayers will get to pay up again!  Why is it that after years of rewarding women for having children out of wed-lock that we now think there is a population explosion that needs to be slowed down?

Any presidential candidate that makes the claim that they will repeal Obamacare on their first day in office is convinced we all just fell off the turnip truck.  It’s just a make-em feel good sound bite that can’t possibly be accomplished.  I would trust someone a smidgen more if they would promise that during their first year that they would work to fix problems that have been identified now that the healthcare bill has been passed and we know what is in it.  There’s a process for that and it won’t happen in a day.

Geez!!  I don’t even have high blood pressure yet but before this election season is complete I’ll be a good candidate.
