Creepy, creepy…

A Summerville woman reported that she had received a message from a stranger on MySpace who said he had seen her profile on a friend’s page. They messaged back and forth a few times but she said she became suspicious of the man when he sent a message containing a lot of personal information about her, including traffic citations, social security number, previous address, and drivers license number. She said he sent her that message to prove his claim that he is an undercover police officer. The man’s URL, copies of the conversations, and his pictures and profile page have been taken into evidence.

Shoot ‘me up…

Several people reported hearing a number of gunshots in the area around Beech Hill Elementary School in Summerville at around 4:30 a.m. Feb. 11.

Callers reported hearing up to eight gunshots in the area. Deputies responded to the area to search for potential suspects. Later in the day, the principal of the school reported that students found several shell casings and at least one live round on the playground.

A woman reported that someone shot the front of her Austin Creek Court house with a paintball gun. The deputies observed several hits on the front of the house, including one that punctured the vinyl siding. She believes a neighbor with whom she’s had conflicts in the past is responsible, but thus far no witnesses have stepped forward.

The case is under investigation.

No angel…

Dorchester County sheriff’s deputies received information that a wanted subject would be a passenger in a vehicle that was headed toward Summerville. The subject, an alleged member of the Hell’s Angels, had three warrants against him from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and ordered the subject out of the vehicle with their P.A. system. The man got out of the car but would not put his hands over his head. However, he was taken into custody.
