Nasty, nasty…
A Ridgeville woman reported that someone put some rotten food under her residence in an attempt to make her move from that location.
She further stated she believes an unknown offender has been getting inside her home and tampering with her food trying to poison her and writing on her prescription medications with a pen, as well as left nails in her yard.
The officer asked to see items tampered with either inside or outside. She showed him a deli snack cup which she said the offender had tainted with super glue, plastic drink cups which had aluminum foil seals which she said had been tampered with, and a small plastic tub with nails in it.
The officer reported he could not detect any signs of tampering, nor did he smell any odors inside or outside of rotten food.
Missing jewelry
A resident of Dorchester Manor reported that she noticed some of her jewelry missing from her room. She said she suspects her roommate because she had noticed a pawn shop receipt torn up in the trashcan in the kitchen. The complainant was able to piece the slip together enough to tell that the subject had pawned her jewelry.
When confronted by the responding officer, the subject said she had pawned two of the victim’s rings and wished to go back and get them and return them to the victim. She also said the rest of the jewelry was at her place of work and she would retrieve and return it as well.
Mistaken identity?
A Summerville man reported that he received three phone calls one evening from someone who said his name was “Ray.” According to the complainant, he knows no one named Ray and can’t imagine what the calls are about. However, “Ray” did make threats every time. During one call, he said he was going to “meet the complainant in the parking lot and beat his “a**.” During another call, “Ray” said “I’m going to put you in the hospital” and during a third call he told the complainant, “I’m going to find you if I don’t see you tonight.”
The responding officer called the number and left a message for Ray to return the call back at the Summerville Police Department.
Attempted burglary
A Summerville man reported he heard a loud, raucous noise coming from the back of his sister’s residence, located next to his. He went to see what the disturbance was and saw a black male juvenile wearing a red t shirt and black pants kicking on the edge of the back door of the complainant’s sister’s home. The man said he yelled at the juvenile, who immediately took off running. He also said he saw the silhouette of another subject running away but could not get a description.
Officers searched the area and found two large footprints on the edge of the back door.
