Location: Salem Road, Ridgeville

Date: Between Feb. 18 and Feb. 20, 2010

Time of day: 10 p.m.- 9 a.m.

Items stolen: Air conditioning unit

Total value: $3,200

Incident report details: The complainant said the unit was delivered to his home on Feb. 18 and he had people doing work on his home that day. He noticed the unit gone the next day and named three possible suspects, including a past tenant.

Suspect(s): Known

Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office

Type of theft: Burglary

Location: Coopers Ridge Apartments, Ladson

Date: Between Feb. 9 and Feb. 10, 2010

Time of day: 11 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Items stolen: Computer equipment, jewelry, home entertainment equipment

Total value: $7,250

Incident report details: Complainant reported that she received a call at work from the apartment management staff saying someone who was visiting at her apartment had reported that someone had broken into it. The responding officer noted pry marks and doorframe damage, indicating that the door had been kicked in.

Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office

Type of theft: Breach of trust

Location: Ladson Road, North Charleston

Date: Feb. 19, 2010

Time of day: 12:30 a.m.- 1 a.m.

Items stolen: 1994 Cadillac Seville

Total value: $4,000

Incident report details: Complainant said she awoke around 1 a.m. and found the keys to her car were missing, as was the suspect, her father. She looked outside and saw that the car was gone as well. She said she did not want to prosecute, that she just wanted her car back.
