Location:  Myers Road, Harleyville

Date: Between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8, 2010

Time of day: Between 6 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Items stolen: Refrigerator, stove

Total value: $1,600

Incident report details: Complainant reported that he believes his mother, who was recently taken for a psychological evaluation, stole a refrigerator and stove from his residence and sold them for drug money. He added he has a trespass notice against her and she has no legal right to be in the residence but DCSO keeps bringing her there. He said she moved in about a month ago and began causing many problems, causing him to move out.

Suspect(s): Known

Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office

Type of theft: Burglary/simple assault

Location: Windsor Boulevard, Willow Trace Apartments, North Charleston

Date: Aug. 11, 2010

Time of day: 11 p.m.

Items stolen: Cell phone

Total value: $300

Incident report details: Complainant reported that she had just got out of the shower when she heard several loud bangs coming from her front door. When she went to investigate, an unknown black male wearing all black kicked in her door, grabbed her and pushed her into the bedroom and then threw her onto the bed and began to hit her with a closed fist. She said when she begged him to stop he got up, took her cell phone, and exited the premises.

Type of theft: Burglary

Location: Wire road, St. George

Date: Between Aug. 9 and Aug. 13, 2010

Time of day: Between 9 a.m.  Aug. 9 and 9 a.m.  Aug. 13.

Items stolen: Tools, ammunition

Total value:  $2,085

Incident report details: Complainant reported that on the above times and dates someone broke into his river house and shed and stole a number of tools and firearm ammunition.
