Type of theft: Armed robbery Location: Bi-Lo, Boone Hill Road Date: Dec. 17 Time of day: 6:15 p.m. Item stolen: Wallet Total value: $20 Incident report details: Deputies arrived to find victim, a Bi-Lo truck driver, bleeding from his mouth and nose; his eye appeared swollen and he had a large knot on the back of his head; he was disoriented, possibly from being hit in the head by the suspects, and his recollection of the hold-up was fuzzy; he said two males suspects with a shotgun or rifle demanded money; incident occurred behind the store. Suspect(s): Described as black males Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Type of theft: Stolen vehicle Location: Timber Lane (off Old Trolley Road) Date: Dec. 16-20 Time of day: Unknown Item stolen: 2000 Cadillac DeVille Total value: $10,000 Incident report details: Victim said she was not up to date on payments and tried to contact the leasing company, but it was closed; the sheriff’s office had not been notified by a repossession company about towing the car. Suspect(s): None Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Type of theft: Stolen vehicle Location: Orangeburg Road (Cambridge Apartments) Date: Dec. 18 Time of day: 12-9:30 a.m. Item stolen: 2000 Nissan Maxima Total value: $5,000 Incident report details: Victim went to leave for work and car was gone; she last saw it in front of her apartment the night before. Suspect(s): None Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Type of theft: Stolen vehicle Location: Lowe’s parking lot, North Main Street Date: Dec. 13 Time of day: 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Item stolen: 2002 Mercury Mountaineer Total value: $6,900 Incident report details: Victim, a Lowe’s a employee, parked the vehicle near the Verizon store end of the parking lot and went to work; he returned and it was gone; police found an uncoiled, bent clothes hanger near where the vehicle was parked. Suspect(s): None Responding agency: Summerville Police Department Type of theft: Burglary Location: Barrington Court (Irongate) Date: Dec. 17 Time of day: 7:30-11 a.m. Items stolen: Gold and silver coins, video game console, camera and watch Total value: $4,550 Incident report details: Burglar broke window in master bedroom to gain entry; footprints were found near the broken window; police collected fingerprints at scene. Suspect(s): None Responding agency: Summerville Police Department Type of theft: Burglary Location: Green Variety Store, Central Avenue Date: Dec. 16-17 Time of day: Between 10:30 p.m. (Dec. 16) and 1:45 p.m. (Dec. 17) Items stolen: Furniture Total value: $2,500 Incident report details: Victim found a door open to the warehouse; it appeared someone cut away the wood in order to remove the lock; a dresser and six nightstands were missing and some boxes had been rummaged through; victim said this was the fifth burglary at the warehouse this year. Suspect(s): None Responding agency: Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Type of theft: Burglary Location: Tuscany Court (Limehouse Villas) Date: Dec. 14 Time of day: 6:30-11:10 a.m. Item stolen: Television Total value: $500 Incident report details: Back door was broken open; house was ransacked and left in disarray.
