The Summerville Cotillion is pleased to announce that the
Summerville Junior Cotillion has completed another successful year
of instruction in Manners, Etiquette and Dance. A special thank you
to Lizz Akerman of Southern Protocol for her professionalism and
dedication of instruction to this program.
Classes were held for ten weeks, twice a month at Bethany United
Methodist. To the delight of their parents, the students were very excited to attend each class.
They learned a variety of dances (including the Fox Trot, Waltz, Mambo, Merengue, Shag, etc.), etiquette pertaining to note writing, table manners, as well as some modern email/texting etiquette. They also enjoyed a Christmas Dance with a gift exchange and ended the season with a lovely Spring Dinner/Dance.
Upcoming classes will be offered October 2010 - February 2011 and open to all students grades fifth through ninth within the community. For more information contact RoAnn Cook (345-8181) or Christine Lafond (696-2544).
