Ask Kristopher Lindler what he thinks about the possibility of being on television and he will probably just shrug and smile.

“I think it would be pretty cool,” he said. “I have a lot of favorite shows and I think it would be fun to do.”

Maybe he’s a little overwhelmed; maybe he’s just jet-lagged. After all, it’s not every ten year old from the Lowcountry who has a West Coast talent agency fly him and his personally to California for a face-to-face meeting – all on their dime.

But for all his quiet, he is clearly excited with his opportunity.

His best friend, Jordyn Harrel says he does not believe television modeling or anything else that might make his buddy a celebrity will change him at all.

“I’m really happy for him, but it will be a little bit weird to see him on TV,” Jordan said.

Kristopher’s mom, Karen Reid, and his Uncle Robert and Aunt Jennifer Reid all recently flew, compliments of Global One LTD talent agency, to Los Angeles. In addition to the work side of it – the meeting, the photo shoot, the videos and introductions – they did a bit of sight seeing as well. Kristopher was taken on a guided tour of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, even getting his picture made on Michael Jackson’s star. He and his family also took a trip to the Santa Monica Pier, something that Kristopher said was fun despite the lengthy bus ride.

As far as transportation goes, though, Kristopher is all about flying, he said. In fact, that plane flight was one of his favorite parts of the entire journey.

“This was the first time I’d ever been in a plane,” he said. “I really liked that. I saw the Grand Canyon from the air.”

Another favorite moment was the moment he actually obtained his State of California work permit, he said.

But how does a kid from Summerville get the attention of a Hollywood talent agency, much less land modeling and commercial auditions?

Kristopher has actually auditioned for several commercials in the past year or so, his mom said. He started with an east coast agency, which represented him to a larger, more connected agency, she said.

“He actually had an agency who basically pushed him to this agency,” Karen said. “They sent Global One Kris’s information and Global One was impressed.”

In fact, the photographer was especially complimentary and encouraging of Kris, she said.

“He was doing a shoot Will Smith’s daughter later that week,” Robert Reid added.

Basically, Kristopher’s contract calls for the agency to find him work in commercials and advertisements, Kristopher’s uncle, Robert Reid said.

“I think he will likely get a lot of work for some of their foreign interests – commercials that will be aired in Asia,” Reid said. “They were really enamored of him.”

Kristopher goes back to Los Angeles in February for auditions, they said.
