Music, Art, Shopping, and Dining -

Stroll through the streets of downtown Summerville while listening to the sweet sounds of local musicians.  Mingle with local artists at the “Art Walk” on Short Central.   Shop and dine in Summerville’s unique shops and restaurants offering events and discounts for one night only!

On Thursday, March 19, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the monthly “Third Thursdays” event, sponsored by Summerville D.R.E.A.M., will take place in downtown Summerville.  Hutchinson Square will feature the toe-tapping sound of the Orme Holler Bluegrass Band.  The band features one of South Carolina’s outstanding banjo players as well as a variety of other Bluegrass instruments and outstanding vocals.

The popular “Art Walk” will be held again this year on “Short” Central Avenue -- with free parking in the parking garage at Central and Richardson.   The event will showcase fine art and craft booths, entertainment, art demonstrations and a wine & cheese party at Art Central Gallery located at 130 Central Avenue.

Participating shops and restaurants throughout the historic downtown will stay open late with special events, discounts and promotions.

“Third Thursdays are such a great way to experience all that downtown Summerville has to offer,” says Alexandra Kassing, DREAM board member and Art Walk Chair.  “We are fortunate to have such talented local musicians and artists.  And what a wonderful way to support the local shops and restaurants that add such a unique flavor to our town.”

Third Thursdays will be held the third Thursday of each month.  For more information, visit the DREAM website: www.summervilledream.org.
