Have you ever wanted to be an actor but didn’t know where to start? Then come audition for the Flowertown Players, where “you can come in off the street and be a star,” says Sean Lakey.

Started in 1976 in an old movie theater on South Main Street, The Flowertown Players have kept the building alive with various plays and remain the only continuously running community theater in Dorchester County. Anybody, regardless of age, race, gender, or handicap, can come in and audition for their performances. The person doesn’t have to have any acting experience, just motivation.    

The Flowertown Players also have acting classes where you can learn how to perfect your performance.
