My daughter Jenna is a cadet in the SHS NJROTC Unit. The leadership and kinship that the students share is a rare blessing in this day and time. I think our children need to belong to some group and I can't think of any better than ROTC. The students are taught a respect for themselves, their peers, their leaders and people in general. My child comes from a family that has always supported the military: my father was in the Air Force, her dad is retired Navy, her uncles have served in the Army and Navy as well. I applaud the SHS NJROTC Unit and thank the school district for supporting this character building program.
