On Oct. 18, more than 100 students were honored at Windsor Hill’s annual PACT Award ceremony. At this year’s tailgate themed ceremony, “I Tackled PACT,” students who scored Advanced on three or four areas of last spring’s PACT test were awarded a special designed T-shirt, plaques and prizes. Seven students scored Advanced on all their PACT tests and were awarded trophies. Students scoring Advanced on at least one area of PACT also were honored and received T-shirts and prizes. The school also welcomed back their former fifth-grade students to the ceremony. Principal Mary Davies and Assistant Principal Carolyn Brantley were exceedingly happy to be able to award these students for the academic efforts. Many of their teachers were on hand to greet their students and assist with the event. All attending were served a fabulous tailgate lunch, including wings, hotdogs, chips, drinks and cake. Entertainment was provided by the FDHS Flag Corp, under the direction of WHES fifth-grade teacher Lindsey Hallock.
