Blake Wood, a senior at Pinewood Preparatory School, and Mary “Rachel” Shelbourne, a senior at Summerville High School, have been named Hollingsworth Scholars at Furman University. Both students will join Furman’s freshman class this fall.
The Hollingsworth Scholarship provides more than $100,000 in scholarship aid over four years at the university.
Wood is the son of Christopher and Patricia Wood of North Charleston. Shelbourne is the daughter of Peter and Mary Pamela Shelbourne of Summerville.
