At Pinewood Preparatory School’s Science and Art Camp, seven students, in grades 1-5, used various household items to construct lava lamps. Students filled a plastic bottle with vegetable oil, water and food coloring, and then dropped Alka-Seltzer tablets into the mixture to make the concoction bubble.
