"The yearbooks chosen for the 2008 Jostens Gotcha Covered Look Book exemplify creativity and energy," said Gary Lundgren, Jostens' senior program manager/education. "The photography, design, content and journalistic excellence of today's high school yearbook journalists reflect that of talented professionals. Those chosen for the pages of the Look book are truly the best of the best."
The Fort Dorchester The Patriot was one of only 475 yearbooks selected from thousands submitted to a panel of judges that included nationally-rcognized scholastic journalism professionals and award-winning yearbook advisers.
The Patriot is featured in the People section of the 2008 Gotcha Covered Look Book. The yearbook was led by yearbook adviser, James Roller. The yearbook staff included: Allaina Allen, Chris Cimorelli, Chris Dietz, Justin Garrison, Brogan Goodrich, Kristi Hale, Allie Hollowell, Jerry Jacobs, John LaVerne, Anna Linder, Brandi Magana, Chase Mizzell, Brittany Percy, Cameron Perera, Amanda Phipps, Allison Shutt, Chansi Thomas, Robin Washington, and Spencer Wiesnet.
"It is a real honor to be recognized in Jostens' Look Book. It continues our run of success as Fort Dorchester's yearbook staff and we look forward to living up to this in the future," said Mr. Roller. " We will begin distributing this year's book at our annual signing party on May 2. Of the 200 extra yearbooks we ordered to sell, we have fewer than 90 left. Those who want a copy of this year's book should order one soon." To purchase a yearbook, bring $70 cash or a check made out to FDHS to room 109.
James Roller and his yearbook staff received a Look Book certificate from Jostens to recognize their outstanding achievement.
