September 8, 2008; Summerville, SC:  We all expect blood to be there for us; but, barely a fraction of those who can give do. On Wednesday, September 10, Summerville Medical Center will host a blood drive for the community from 1 – 6 p.m. in the cafeteria of Summerville Medical Center. If an individual presents to donate, they will be entered into a final drawing to win a $1000 gas card that will be held the first of the following month.
“There is a constant need to replenish the blood supply in the tri-county area” said Sandy Wallace, medical technologist with Summerville Medical Center. “Currently, we are at critical levels for all blood types.”
To schedule an appointment, please contact Sandy Wallace at 832.5040. Please note that walk-ins are welcome too.
