Trident employees honored as heroes

December 3, 2008; Charleston, SC:  On Thursday, November 20, two employees from Trident Health System were named “Health Care Heroes” by the Charleston Regional Business Journal and Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, hosts of the 2008 Health Care Heroes Awards.
Trident Health System employees were winners in two of the seven award categories, including: PJ Johnson – CEO, Summerville Medical Center – “Volunteer”, and Joy Allen – Coordinator, Music Therapy, Trident Medical Center – “Community Outreach”.
In addition, a member of the Trident Health System Medical Staff, Dr. James Benner, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, was nominated as a finalist in the category of “Physicians”.
