Colleton Medical Center Offers A Spirit Women’s Health DayColleton Medical Center Educates Women on General Health and WellnessOctober 11, 2007; Charleston, SC: Colleton Medical Center will be hosting an informational and entertaining program at Walterboro National Guard Armory on Monday, October 22, from 4 – 8 p.m. Spirit of Women’s Health Day SM will bring women together to provide tips for their journey to better health and wellness. This event is not “just another” health lecture, but is designed to bring women together for a night filled with excitement, education, and laughter! “Women’s Health Day is designed to deliver simple, yet important health messages to women through a fun and entertaining environment,” said Anna Jonason, chief nursing officer at Colleton Medical Center. “It allows women in the Walterboro community to focus on their health, socialize with their peers, and have an enjoyable evening all at the same time.” Health education, health screenings, and creative awareness activities will be woven throughout the four-hour evening to emphasize the importance of awareness of common health issues affecting women today. Besides these important educational segments about general health and wellness, the night will also include keynote speaker, Ms. Anne Worsham Richardson; health screenings; door prizes; refreshments; art exhibits; free giveaways and more!
