Colleton Medical Center to Host Just the Ticket

November 26, 2007; Walterboro, SC:  Safe Kids Lowcountry led by Colleton Medical Center and The City of Walterboro Police Department will be kicking off “Just The Ticket” on Saturday, December 1, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Walterboro Belk’s on Bells Highway.

Car seats will be checked free of charge at this event by certified safety technicians for recall, proper fit and size. “Children are one of life’s greatest gifts and we at Safe Kids Lowcountry, would like to see them safe through this Holiday Season and many more to come,” said Yvonne “Chumpy” Penfield, coordinator for Safe Kids Lowcountry and director of volunteer services.

Colleton Medical Center has been the lead organization for Safe Kids Lowcountry for 10 years.  Safe Kids Lowcountry works closely with Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS in Beaufort, Hampton and Colleton County.
