Mammogram Monday; Get the Picture

July 6, 2010; Moncks Corner, SC: Moncks Corner Medical Center (MCMC) is encouraging women to take control of their breast health and participate in MCMC’s Mammogram Mondays events during the summer months.
Digital mammogram screenings, door prizes and refreshments will be provided at each event every Monday from Noon – 5 p.m. during July and August.
“Starting at age 40, annual digital mammograms are a must for every woman,” said Jean Hoover, registered mammographer at MCMC. “An occasional mammogram doesn’t provide enough protection against breast cancer – by providing digital mammography, we are revolutionizing breast care by providing our patients with state-of-the-art mammograms that are faster, easier and more comfortable than ever before, while providing our physicians with highly detailed images to use in the diagnosis.”
