Trident Health System Welcomes Gastroenterology and Hepatology Physician with Specialty in Endoscopic Ultrasound

Charleston, S.C./ Aug. 30, 2010 – Dr. Rya Kaplan has joined Coastal Carolina Gastroenterology & Hepatology Associates. She most recently was with Gastroenterology Group of Naples, Florida.
Dr. Kaplan received an undergraduate degree with honors from Duke University and her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. She frequently lectures on various gastroenterology topics.
“I’m excited to join the Trident team and look forward to providing excellent care to the Charleston and Summerville communities,” said Dr. Kaplan, who has advanced training in endoscopic ultrasound. “I grew up in South Carolina and went to medical school, residency and fellowship in Charleston so I am excited to give back to the area that trained me.”
