Trident Health System to Host Emergency Community Blood Drive
June 28, 2010; Charleston, SC: On Friday, July 2, Summerville Medical Center and Trident Medical Center will host a blood drive for the community from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the cafeteria of Summerville Medical Center and at the front entrance of Trident Medical Center. If an individual presents to donate, they will receive a complimentary t-shirt from the American Red Cross.
“During the summer months, we see the number of donors tend to drop” said Sandy Wallace, medical technologist with Summerville Medical Center. “Currently, we are at critical levels for all blood types, especially O Negative and O Positive.”
To schedule an appointment, please contact Sandy Wallace at 832.5040 or Christal Joyner at 847.3376. Please note that walk-ins are welcome too.
