Trident and Summerville Medical Centers Named Hospital of Choice by Dorchester and Berkeley Counties
Trident and Summerville Medical Centers were named the hospital and urgent care/emergency facility of choice in Dorchester and Berkeley counties by the Summerville Journal Scene’s 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards, and The Berkeley Independent and The Gazette’s 2009 Best of Berkeley County Awards.

The 2009 Best of Berkeley County Awards and the Summerville Journal Scene’s 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards gave readers a chance to voice their opinions on their favorite businesses. During November and December, ballots were published in the Summerville Journal Scene, Berkeley Independent and The Gazette. Voting was also made available to readers online at JournalScene.com, BerkeleyInd.com and OurGazette.com. Hundreds of Berkeley and Dorchester County readers voted in over 200 categories. As ballots came in, votes were tabulated and winners were declared.
