Summerville Medical Center Voted Best Hospital and Urgent Care Facility
The new year has brought honors for Summerville Medical Center. The
94-bed hospital was voted best hospital and best urgent care/emergency
facility in January by Summerville residents the Summerville Journal
Scene’s first annual Reader’s Choice Awards survey. The Reader’s
Choice survey asked readers for their favorite selections in Dining,
Goods and Services, Medical Services, Professional services, Pets,
Recreation, Shopping and Other Favorites. Winners were recognized in
the January 7 issue of the Summerville Journal Scene, were given the
opportunity to use The Summerville Journal Scene’s “Voted Best” logo in
advertising and will receive special certificates to display in their
facilities. “We appreciate and value the opportunity to be the BEST
health care provider for the Summerville/Dorchester County citizens and
I hope that we will always be the first choice for any future health
care needs they or their family may require,” said PJ Johnson, Chief
Executive Officer of Summerville Medical Center. The results of the
