In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the Dorchester Heritage Center is hosting a special event featuring the Edisto Natchez-Kusso Tribe. The event offers an evening of cultural enrichment, history and community engagement at this Discovery Series event from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Farmhouse at The Ponds, 326 Hundred Oaks Parkway in Summerville.
The highlight of the event is a discussion led by members of the Edisto Natchez-Kusso Tribe, shedding light on the history and heritage of the tribe. Their insight into the tribal history promises to be informative and enlightening.
In addition to the historical teaching, tribal council members will present a cultural exhibition to showcase the traditions, art and practices of the Edisto Natchez-Kusso Tribe.Â
