Ashley Ridge and Summerville landed players on the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association’s 2024 Class 5A All-State teams.

The association released its list of All-State honors this past week, and four Summerville-area players are included.

Ashley Ridge senior center Dianna Blake and Summerville junior guard Molly Daugherty were named to the 5A Girls Basketball All-State Team. Both players have led their teams into the third round of the playoffs.

Sumter’s Kiara Croskey was named the 5A Girls Player of the Year. Others making the All-State Team are Sumter’s Rickell Brown, Mauldin’s Jahzara Leamon, Gaffney’s Tianah Hopper and Shiriah Harris, Blythewood’s Chase Thomas, Dutch Fork’s Michaela Fairwell, Stratford’s Ciara Mustapher, Rock Hill’s De’Ashaj Crawford and Chloe Hudson, Carolina Forest’s Emerie Davis, Goose Creek’s Ayanna Moses, Stall’s Makayla Waiters and Byrnes’ Te’Ericka Dowling.

Woodland’s Kah’Liyah Geddis was named to the 2A Girls All-State Team.

Summerville senior guard Yannick Smith and junior guard Melvin Teal were named to the 5A Boys All-State Team. They have also helped the Green Wave Boys advance to the third round of the playoffs.

Lexington’s Cam Scott was named the 5A Boys Player of the Year. Others making the All-State Team are Lexington’s Jaxon Prunty, Sumter’s Caleb Jenkins, Spring Valley’s Justin Skelton, Byrnes’ Will Fowler and Kayzzin McDowell, Cane Bay’s Curtrell Dixon and Isaac Smalls, TL Hanna’s Jaquarious Patterson, Goose Creek’s Shane Potts, Dorman’s Christian Andrews, Fort Mill’s A.J. Washington, St. James’ Carter Bobbitt and River Bluff’s Yasir Cromer.

Woodland’s Ty’Ree Edwards was named to the 2A Boys All-State Team.
