Brandon Delgado and his Fort Dorchester teammates wrapped up their tennis season April 25 with a loss to Carolina Forest in the second round of the state playoffs.

Ashley Ridge claimed a pair of 6-0 wins this past week during the Class 5A boys tennis playoffs.

The Swamp Foxes (14-1) opened the playoffs April 23 with a victory over White Knoll. They then defeated Stratford April 25 to advance to the third round.

Ashley Ridge will travel to Carolina Forest April 29 for a showdown between region champions. Carolina Forest came out on top of Region 5 this season while the Swamp Foxes won Region 7. The winner of that match will face either River Bluff or Wando in the 5A Lower State Championship match May 1.

Fort Dorchester opened the playoffs with a 5-1 win over Berkeley. The Patriots (11-7) were then eliminated from the playoffs with a 6-0 loss to Carolina Forest.

Summerville opened the playoffs with a 6-0 win over Sumter. The Green Wave (15-7) was then eliminated with a 6-0 loss to Region 4 Champion River Bluff.
