Dear Editor,
On Wednesday, June 16th my mother Marjorie W. Cobun, celebrated her
100th birthday ! This letter is an enormous thank you to some special people in
our community that cared enough to make reaching 100 very memorable.
When I am at work, my mother Miss Marjie, spends her days with the folks at Aging Gracefully, Senior Care Services on Ladson Road. Angela Rooman is the owner and it is she, along with her entire staff that I wish to especially thank. They opened Aging Gracefully to 40 – 50 of Miss Marjie’s friends who came to hug her neck and make her feel special. They also helped with the planning, crowd control and the clean up, and have for two years made us feel that Miss Marjie has a second family.
For folks in our community who are caregivers to loved ones and are seeking help of any kind, I suggest and highly recommend calling Aging Gracefully. We continue to use their home health services in addition to the day care and I can state emphatically that I do not worry at all about my mother’s well being or safety during the day – as I did when she was home alone. In the past two years we have used the in house beauty salon, the availability of the Physical Therapist and the Podiatrist. The staff offer field trips and daily activities in addition to social stimulation.
Aging Gracefully is a blessing to us and I wanted everyone to know !
Thanks Angela !
Gratefully,
Jennifer C. Bailey
