Four-way Stop

Dear Mrs. Watts,

Who gave Council the authority to change a perfectly functioning intersection by posting an Officer to direct traffic?  I am speaking of the four way stop on Delamar Highway going towards Ashley Ridge High School.  I understand that it was to help keep people from cutting through the Legend Oaks neighborhood; however, that problem should be addressed by the neighborhood’s association instead of creating a new (and much bigger) problem by essentially disabling the crossroads. Is Council aware that traffic backs up all the way to Dorchester Road on Bacons Bridge Road?  Council is supposed to serve all of its constituents, not just one neighborhood.  Please reconsider this!  By the way, this is not a complaint against the Officer who has been posted at the site who seems to be doing his best nor the neighborhood of Legend Oaks. I hope Council steps up and helps solve their problem appropriately.

Sincerely,

Charlotte R. Moss
