Cadets Molly Callahan, Josh Dickerson, Amanda Franks and Artavious White Bordiuk, recently completed the Military Oder of World Wars Leadership Conference while Cadet Cameron Williams served as a member of the training staff.

The Leadership Conference was conducted aboard the USS Yorktown.  All of these cadets are returning cadet leaders in Summerville’s Navy JROTC “Green-Wave Battalion.”

Students from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Virginia also attended the conference. These school leaders have demonstrated superior leadership within their unit/school and excel in academics.

While at the leadership conference the cadets were exposed to several speakers such as Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Maj. Gen. James Livingston as well as various business and government leaders.

If you are interested in enrolling your son or daughter in Summerville High School’s Navy JROTC Unit, this school year please contact one of the instructors Colonel Claude Davis, Master Chief Carson Burgess, or Master Chief Gardner LaMarche at 832-7861.
