Palmetto Pride/Keep South Carolina Beautiful Grant of $7K

Keep Dorchester County Beautiful was honored with the Presidents Circle Award at the Keep America Beautiful, Inc. National Conference in New Orleans in December.  This award is given to the affiliates that stay in compliance with the National KAB programs and requirements, including Annual, Midyear, and Great America Cleanup Reporting, and performing a Litter Index Study.  Receiving the President Circle Award demonstrates that KDCB has successfully completed and participated in all programs of Keep America Beautiful.

KDCB also won a Palmetto Pride/Keep South Carolina Beautiful Grant of $7,000.00 dollars.  This funding will expand the River Sweep and include Beautification Grants to the towns that participate in the Great American Cleanup.

Keep America Beautiful, Inc., established in 1953, is the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. With a network of nearly 1,000 affiliate and participating organizations, Keep America Beautiful forms public-private partnerships and programs that engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community environments.
