Summerville could be getting another economic development announcement soon.
On the heels of the announcement of 35 new jobs from Advanced Inventory Solutions, Dorchester County Council approved a special source revenue credit for “Project Arrow.” Council Chairman Larry Hargett said the Summerville-area investment would create about 25 to 30 jobs.
The credit is a 10 percent property tax break for five years, meant to rebate the costs of upfitting an existing building, said Jon Baggett, director of Dorchester County Economic Development.
Baggett said he could offer no further information at this time, but he hopes to make an announcement “hopefully sooner rather than later.”
Other announcements this year include 90 jobs at iQor, 40 jobs over three years at Lollicup, and 10 jobs at the corporate headquarters for LeanCor Supply Chain Group.
