A lone subject with a bandana over his face and a gun in his hand robbed a convenience store, but had to give up his ill gotten gains when his victims chased him down a few minutes later.

The incident occurred early Tuesday afternoon at the Kangaroo Station convenience store located at 8501 Dorchester Road in Summerville. According to DCSO officials, a white male subject with a red bandana over his face and a gun in his hand robbed the clerk and fled behind the store. Two employees and a customer, however, chased the suspect into the neighborhood behind the store. The suspect then gave himself up to his pursuers and waited for deputies to arrive on the scene.

As it turned out, the subject is a fifteen-year-old white male. The gun -- which turned out to be a pellet gun -- and the money from the robbery was found in his bag, according to DCO officials.

Deputies transported the subject to the DCSO Criminal Investigative Division where detectives interviewed him. He was then transported to a SC Dept. of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia.
