Cane Bay Faculty, staff and students took time to help 100 families with Thanksgiving Dinners and clothes to students at Cane Bay High and Middle School.
Each department had a food item to bring in. Students brought any non-perishable items off the list. A church donated 100 turkeys.
They also had staff and students bring in gently used clothing shoes and blankets for any student who may need some warm clothes. All family members were allowed to shop for free.
The students who volunteered say they felt good about doing something for others and wanted to be there to give back to the Berkeley County Community.
CBHS Principal Dr. Lee Westberry says she wants all the students to feel good about themselves and to know they are important.
The staff at Cane Bay High appreciate Dr. Westberry's enjoyment of giving back to her school and students, and that she goes the extra mile with her job.
The next community event that Cane Bay High School and Middle School will do is bring in new toys and gifts for those families in need in the Cane Bay High School and Middle School; if you would like to donate a gift please drop off at Cane Bay High School.
