The oldest kennel club in South Carolina, the 76- year-old Charleston Kennel Club has announced the dates for their annual dog show. The show, drawing over one thousand registered dogs, is scheduled for January 28 and 29 at the Coastal Carolina Fairgrounds in Ladson.

Show Chair Ricki Silveria said the licensed all-breed show will accept entries in Obedience and Rally for mixed breed dogs enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners Program. This allows mixed breeds to complete and earn the same Obedience and Rally titles as purebreds.

In the Obedience competition, watch the Southeast’s most well-behaved canines work through a pattern of tasks that illustrates their intense bond and relationship with their owners.

Exchange Club Park, 9850 Highway 78, is off College Park Road, I-26 Exit 203. Turn right at Highway 78 (Burger King on the corner). Coastal Carolina Fairgrounds will be on your right. Show hours for Saturday and Sunday are 8AM to 5PM each day. Admission is $2 and parking is free, with the exception of parking inside the grounds, which is $5 per day.
