Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union held its annual soccer kickoff event on Sat., Aug. 8, for the District 6 Dorchester Dragons, a local Special Olympics team. ?At the event, Heritage Trust donated $1,000, practice shirts and equipment bags to the team. The Summerville Masonic Lodge #234 provided lunch attendees and donated $500 to the local group.

For the past three years, Heritage Trust has been proud to assist in hosting this kickoff event with our great sponsors and volunteers: Summerville Masonic lodge #234, All-Mist, Charleston Battery, Passport International, Fleetwood DJ Service, and the Summerville Soccer Club.

There are over 15,500 registered children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Carolina.* Special Olympics offers athletes the opportunity of proper instruction and encouragement so they can learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports.
