The Palmetto Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship, also known as CEF, will host its first annual Fashion Gala and Silent Auction on August 5, 2011 at 6 p.m. in Doar Hall at St. Paul’s Church in Summerville, South Carolina. Proceeds will benefit The Good News Clubs expansion in the Tri-County area. These fast-paced, one-hour programs are designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to children on their level and in their environment.

A diverse group of models of varying ages, shapes, and sizes will feature clothing from Dress Barn, Haggar, and Justice. The evening will begin with guests enjoying delicious food and music, while viewing silent auction items. Several unique donations have been received including a Riverdog’s Experience, a hot air balloon ride, and two certificates for the services of Fulcher Orthodontics and Reagin Orthodontics. Vendors will be on hand to showcase wares during the silent auction and intermission.

It is expected to be a night of great fashion, food, fellowship, and fun. All guests will receive discount coupons from Dress Barn, Haggar, and Justice.

The event coincides with South Carolina’s tax-free weekend, providing attendees with an added savings opportunity during the back to school season.

The ministry of CEF has grown into the largest evangelistic outreach to children in the world. CEF is currently ministering in 170 countries and in every state in the U.S. Last year, local volunteers served hundreds of children in the Tri- County area in its 5 Good News Clubs.
