Man charged with making meth

  • Monday, January 14, 2013

A man was arrested Friday after Charleston County narcotics officers raided a home in Lincolnville and found what they say was a small active methamphetamine lab.
Reid Anthony Brown, 52, faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, according to Charleston County Sheriff’ Office officials.
Acting on a tip, officers from the Charleston County Narcotics Squad raided a residence located at Watson Road and Owens Drive in Lincolnville Friday morning. Also responding to the scene were units from agencies including Charleston County EMS, Charleston Fire Department and the City of Charleston HazMat team.
Neighbors said they had noticed activity at odd hours at that residence for some time.
A judge set bond for Brown at $100,000 during a hearing Saturday.
More charges may be forthcoming, CCSO officials said.
